Good for 2 short stories. I haven't read any of the books in the series, but I must say, I am interested enough now that I will add them to my TBR. This is PNR and it managed to be unique (which is difficult to do since PNR has become more popular). Can you read this without having read the series? Sure! I didn't find that there was anything that wasn't explained enough for me to understand. You will be left wondering a little bit though and I think thats good-now I want to read the series. The writing is great, you get dual POV (my favorite), and its fast paced because its a short. Of course, as I find common with novellas that focus on new characters instead of continuing a previous characters story, you are left wanting more.
