Ryder’s a complicated man. He’s happy living a solitary life and his fame keeps him insulated from the rest of the world. He has few friends, has never been in a relationship with a woman and has no interest in starting one. He’s content having sex with random women who are excited to spend time with a big star like Ryder. Once Ryder meets Brooke, there is something about her that draws him to her, but he’s afraid to let anyone get too close. Ryder has built up a lot of walls and he doesn’t trust easily. Even though he is drawn to Brooke, he’s too afraid to let go and see where it might lead. Ryder has never met anyone like Brooke; she’s feisty, smart and says whatever is on her mind. Plus, they have incredible sex whenever they are together. Ryder’s confused and frustrated. He doesn’t want a relationship with Brooke, but he also isn’t interested in being with another women. He keeps pulling back and each time he does, he hurts Brooke’s feelings.
This the third book in the series and each one is a stand-alone about a different country star. The guys featured in each book are all friends so they are included in this story too. Randi Alexander writes an entertaining story about a sexy country singer afraid to open his heart. I liked Ryder and Brooke and wanted Brooke to help Ryder tear down his walls and learn to love.
