Everything Goes books are always fun and full of color and objects to look at. This early shared reading book is all that and perfect for the early reader that also has an early enjoyment of a bicycle in Henry on Wheels. The text has plenty of repetition which helps brings certain words to memory and it is neat as he goes around a corner of her neighborhood block to the next thing to see which makes me think his could be a fun book for discussing sequencing.

At this stage for us (3.5) often I read and I will find her at a later time "reading" or rather retelling the story to herself of what she remembers. Today was different as I went very slowly and pinted at each word. To the handful or more words she definitely knows I mist pointed and let her read them. Others I said the word while pointing at it and she repeated after me. This worked really well and at the end she still went on to "read" it to herself and as more words repeated she recognized hem and didn't need me to say it first. One more step to reading success fulfilled in a fun way!
