Can Amelia and Rick find out why William went to Bali?
Amelia Moore is the lead private detective at her agency. Rick Bonito is her partner at the agency and, of course, friend. I like how they know each other well enough to know when either Amelia needs Rick or Rick needs Amelia to help out on a case. Their friendship in this novel is excellent, and I love how they flirt with each other while not trying to make it too obvious. Amelia is very into keeping things professional and trying not to give in to her feelings.
Rick, on the other hand, thinks that she might like him but doesn't know how much. I have to say that these two are hilarious throughout the book. Not only as friends but as partners trying to solve this case on finding William, who is a missing person, is nice. They both bring something that the other doesn't have to this case that makes them both invaluable on it.
These two as potential love interests intrigue me since it will be great to see how much Amelia tries to keep their professional lives separate from their unprofessional lives. For right now, I'm happy with seeing them flirting here and there.
The Mystery
Amelia and Rick are tasked by William's sister to find her missing brother. William had a schedule that he liked to follow; then, suddenly, he stops going to work and leaves out of the blue, not telling his sister where he went. See, William went to Bali, but why would he go to Bali? That is the question that Amelia and Rick have to figure out, especially after they can catch up with him in Bali. I love the scenes in Bali as they are so vivid that I felt that I was right there with the characters. Another great thing about this is that I love how they can solve the mystery and what else they might have discovered as well.
Four Stars
The Bali Mystery by Linda Weaver Clarke is a read. I always love to pick up a book by her and get sucked into the story. Amelia and Rick are amazing characters, along with all of the other characters that they met along the way. Amelia and Rick's story are different from what I have read by this author, but that's also a good thing. I am in love with these characters, and I can't wait to read more from them. I am giving this book four stars and recommending it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
