I had an image of Michael Phelps in my head when I read this book. It just seemed Chase was Michael. He was the best swimmer, focused on his goal. But when Chase and Emma's relationship changed from professional to personal, Chase's kinkier side came out. Which resulted in me watching MP swim his 200 Butterfly semifinal race thinking he was all into spanking.

MP aside, IN DEEP was one of the better Olympic reads I've immersed myself in lately. The characters were complex, yet easy to like. The storyline interesting and the relationship building between Emma and Chase had me cheering for them all the way to the end.
