*I received a free copy of [title] from [publisher] via Author. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review, which is honest and unbiased *Angry Annie was a hoot! It kept me company on the plane back from Denver and BookBonanza, and I had so many laugh out loud moments.

Story:

Angry Annie was such a fun romantic comedy, and my first foray (but definitely NOT the last!) into Chiletz's books. Joselyn had goals, but she had strange ways of going about achieving them. Trying to figure out who Annie was, and why her reviews were always so angry, became her new goal. She wanted to show the world what a sorry person Annie was - but things didn't go as planned.

As Angry Annie unfolded, Joselyn found herself actually liking the older woman. Even when Annie was difficult and short tempered, she told some truths Joselyn needed to hear. Of course, the very hot neighbor who couldn't stop himself from coming by helped the plot be hot as well as funny.

Little by little, Joselyn realized that she needed an intervention just as much as Annie did, and that's when Angry Annie became even better in my opinion. There are strong friendships, relationships between family members, characters who appear to be internet trolls... And there are so many fun one-liners it's impossible to choose which to share.

Characters:

Joselyn needed to grow up a little bit, and she also needed to show more empathy. She really did get in touch with herself as the story unfolded, and I loved her from the beginning.

Rhode is the kind of male character I just swoon for. He was making his own way, always caring about his neighbor and other people, and he was hot to boot ;)

Jorgie is Joslyn's sister, and she is the polar opposite of Joslyn. Together, with her own bakery, and confident - she is also her sister's biggest' cheerleader.

Writing style :

Angry Annie is written in first person point of view, present tense, and I got a good handle on Joslyn from the beginning thanks to this.

Feels :

A little swooning, a lot of laughter, and also some real toe-curling contentment. Both because of Joslyn's growth and because of the awesome relationship between the two sisters.

"There you go." He wipes his hand on his jeans and turns away like it was nothing. "This is my garden." My legs won't move. He thought he'd distract me by showing me his garden? What the fuck? I thought I'd see a hose, but this wasn't what I had in mind.

"You're driving? No, no way!"
"Shut your mouth. You've been whining all day."
"You drive like a crazy woman."
"If a woman is crazy it's because some man made her that way."
