Point of Origin

by Rebecca Yarros

In Legacy, Colorado, our inheritance is simple: Fire and Heartbreak.

Sebastian Vargas? He's both. Bash was my best friend, my first love, my everything...until he walked away six years ago. I swore I'd never leave Legacy. Bash swore he'd never leave me. At least one of us kept our promise.

When he comes home with a plan to resurrect the local hotshot crew that killed eighteen firefighters, including both our fathers, he sets everyone on edge—especially me. Bash needs my help to win over the town council on behalf of the crew, but he has no intention of being on it—or staying. I can't afford to fall for him again, but six years hasn't changed our insanely hot chemistry, or the way we feel about each other.

With history poised to repeat itself, I'm once again torn between the small town I vowed to fight for, and the man whose love could burn me to the ground again.

Can I say I wish Bash and Emerson's story was full length instead of a novella? I absolutely loved them and would have loved more. That said....Rebecca Yarros did a fabulous job of setting up her new Hot Shot firefighting series. We learned the backstory of Legacy and the hows/whys of getting the new crew together. I can't wait for more, especially Knox and Harper.
