Kazi and Jase are returning to Tor's watch, imagining all of the celebrations to be had, however instead of being welcomed by everyone, they are confronted by attackers. In a short turn of events, invaders have taken over the kingdom.
Kazi is suddenly told that Jase is dead. She is unable to believe it even though she is shown proof of his demise. She knows what to do, play along and look for the opportunity to run away with Jase's young siblings who are being held hostage. Kazi won't let the intruders win and will do whatever it takes to stop them.
This book was so fast-paced, and I loved it! I had a hard time putting down this book. Kazi held herself together so well even though most of the time it felt hopeless. Her loyalty really showed during those moments. I swear that girl could get hit by a car and be able to walk it off. It's one of the reasons I love her; nothing can get in her way once she's made up her mind. And Jase is also tough as nails, not as much as Kazi, but he still goes through a lot. He was training so hard to be able to reach Kazi.
I hope there will be another series within this world. I would love to see Synove and Mason have their own story. They were really cute characters. However, it would also be very interesting if another story happened in one of the other countries in the alliance or in this world.
Vow of Thieves is an amazing page-turner with awesome characters, an engrossing atmosphere, and a story filled with plenty of emotional moments. I highly recommend this book to you.
