The Summer of You was fun, but I did like the first book better. This time we're following Lady Jane and Byrne, whom we met last time. Jane is attending her recently refriended friend Philippa's wedding when her brother suddenly returns. He wants to send Jane and their father to their country estate, since their father isn't doing too well. Jane refuses to be banished, so she blackmails Jason into accompanying her. There she becomes reacquainted with Byrne Worth aka The Blue Raven. But their tiny town doesn't view him as the hero he is. They believe he's the highwayman who's been terrorizing everyone.
I don't really know what to say about The Summer of You. I liked it. It made me smile. Jane and Byrne were cute together and had a couple of steamy scenes. I especially liked Jane's friend Victoria who believes that she's in love with her brother and totally misses that someone else is in love with her. There is a bit of mystery as Jane decides to figure out who the real highwayman is and prove Byrne's innocence. This causes some excitement and danger toward the end. The last page is really bittersweet. It almost brought a tear to my eye!
