This book was interesting, because it actually jumps back from when book 1 ended. We get to find out what happened during Jack and Cassie's six month separation from Jack's point of view. Then, we get the big conflict as Cassie and Jack adjust to their relationship after the separation and with Jack's rising stardom. My feelings about this book grew with each chapter. At first, I was sort of like "Why?", but then I realized that it was an important part of knowing Kitten and Carter. We needed to see more of the aftermath and how they grew as a couple. Did I love it as much as book 1? Maybe half a star less, but when you give me endings like that, where I am grinning from ear to ear (for multiple reasons), I am going to look favorably upon said book.
