Can Marian keep her secret identity still?
Marian
Marian is the Crown Princess of Sherwood, but she has been missing for the last almost three years. Where has the princess been? Well, maybe playing in the woods with some other ladies as Robin Hood to steal from the rich and give to the poor. Marian is different than what the other authors have told about her. I love this version of Marian and would want to be a friend of hers. She is a delightful character that is trying to be true to herself. Hoping her father would come home and right the evil that Prince John has bestowed on their land. Or is her father not coming back?
Merry Men
Well, more of Marian's Maidens has evolved a lot throughout the three years that Marian has been in the woods. It's great to see not only that Robin Hood changed but so has the band of men that Robin Hood has to help him steal from the rich and give to the poor. These ladies have helped shaped Marian into who she is now, and Marian is very grateful to them. Marian has helped the maidens with getting over their fears about why they were outcasted into the woods.
Five Stars
Marian, Princess Thief by C.K. Brooke, is a fabulous book by this amazing author. I love how she takes certain myths and change them up to show a heroine in control instead of being someone that is just a love interest. This time she has a different love interest than what I thought, and I like the two of them together as it is great to see someone change in a good light.
Marian, Princess Thief by C.K. Brooke, is a five-star worthy rating, and I am recommending it to anyone that likes retellings of fairytales.
