I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this series, truth be told. I’d never read any solo series about Cloak and Dagger, though I’d seen several cameos from them (the first time I saw them I think was in the Runaways). And while I’ve watched the TV show I was certain that the two would be very different from one another…
And I was right. I hadn’t expected the series to start off at a later point in both character’s lives, but it works. Actually, it’s been really interesting so far. I don’t know if I’m missing some backstory in parts, or if the missing information is part of an attempt to build intrigue. Either way I haven’t had any trouble following the basics, and I’m looking forward to reading the next issue.
