When Joanna discovers a mysterious woman, unconscious on the stairs to her apartment, her life begins to change in ways she never would have imagined. Secrets long kept are revealed as the mystery about the identity of this woman remains concealed. Then, when it appears Joanna is now in danger, Noah can’t help but step up to protect her.
Joanna had a heart of gold. It was so sweet how no one was surprised at the way she cared so much about the stranger, even visiting her in the hospital when she was still in a coma. Joanna struggled with truths about herself and her family that had remained hidden until now.
Noah had struggled with feelings of inadequacy for most of his life. He felt that the community judged him for his father’s sins and interpreted everything based on that viewpoint. He also feared that he inherited his father’s violent nature.
Amish Protector is an enjoyable story with enough intrigue to keep me guessing.
