Now this is what you expect when you think of Lovecraft! This was before he began to focus on the Elder Gods in detail, but it still very clearly relates to those later stories. This is a story about a man who finds himself shipwrecked on a piece of oozing land that has been pushed up and exposed from the ocean floor. He’s journey across the land is slow and eerie and as with his other works saves the best for last. This reads really great, but the podcast I listened to was very well done and completely freaked me out. This makes me super excited to dive in more of the Cthulhu mythos and see what madness is in store for me.
