I completely adored Let It Snow. Frankie was just adorable. He describes himself as the stereotypical gay male, complete with a job as a stylist. He owns it though. This is who he is! Then there's Marcus, the biggest of the lumberjacks, who comes across as a grumpy bear. He's been hurt before and has sworn off relationships. He also knows that he'll never go back to city life, so there's no point in acting on his immediate attraction to Frankie. Of course, that's easier said than done when they're trapped in the cabin together for a week and have to share a bed. Especially when Marcus' two roommates are constantly (and loudly) going at it upstairs.
Stranded together is one of my favorite Romance tropes and Let It Snow does it really well! They're not confined to the house the whole time, but they are certainly stuck in their very tiny town. They do have to go out for supplies, and Marcus has to visit his mother at the care center. During his week stuck there, Frankie slowly becomes part of the town. He's afraid at first that everyone will be homophobic or hurt him, but that's not the case at all. I loved seeing him become so animated when he finds that he can use his hairdressing skills to bring some holiday joy to the trapped residents.
Let It Snow was just super heartwarming and sweet! Frankie and Marcus do have some very steamy scenes together, but the overall tone in their interactions is sweet. There is a slightly annoying fight at the end, the whole breaking it off because it'll never work type. But of course they work it out in the end.
