This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews After reading Johnny's Girl I absolutely couldn't wait to read Jessie's story. After seeing Jessie turn up at the end of Johnny's Girl through Meg's eyes I enjoyed seeing the world through Jessie's eyes.

Jessie is pretty messed up. After losing her mum in a freak accident she feels alone. Completely alone. Stu is a really good Step-Dad but he's not her biological Dad. She's never known who her Dad is and her Mum is gone she feels like there's no one who she can connect with and she keeps pushing everyone away cares about her. I think she thought if she did that and she lost them it wouldn't hurt like it did when she lost her Mum.

When she finds out who her Dad is, I think something strike's a nerve within her. She finally knows who he is and wants a relationship with him. The only problem he's Johnny fricking Jefferson!

I loved seeing Jessie adjust to life in LA. It was really good to see Jessie make some new friends and strong bonds with her half brothers.

I enjoyed seeing how Meg and Johnny coped with the arrival of Jessie.

I really loved seeing the world through Jessie's eyes. It made me feel like a teenager again. I cannot wait to read the next book in the Jessie series I am excited about the next part of her story.
