It seems like I've waited forever for this book to come out. I was so excited when it was finally in my iPad I wondered if it would live up the hype I'd created. I'm happy to say it most certainly did.

Elle has a lot to deal with in this installment of the SET IN STONE series. She's forced to live in her sadistic father's guest house while his flunkies train her on all things the Shadow King heir must know. As if that wasn't enough, she has the cryptic message regarding her mates and then comes face to face with her relatives on her mother's side. Learning she's a shadow elf and had her memories stolen by her father should have been enough to deal with. But Elle gets the knowledge that her mother was a goddess added as the proverbial cherry on top.

Then we have the little triangle between Jax, McLean and Elle. I was happy with the direction this storyline went. The author could have dragged this along for several books before giving us a resolution (or maybe never giving us one), but luckily there was a definitive answer about who Elle choose as her mate.

A lot happens in this fast-paced, edge of your seat book. I truly enjoyed this story and found myself craving more when I got to the last page. Fingers crossed, we won't have to wait so long for book three.
