With her future hanging in the balance, the student council tournament may be Yumeko's only shot at redemption. I've noticed quite a few more things in this re-read of Kakegurui, mostly positive things!

Yumeko's speeches go HARD as fucking hell. She goes AT IT, every single time. And she has moments where she is incredibly cute and I find it very endearing. My headcannon is that she truly has no thoughts beyond doing this thing she likes, and that mindset while reading this has been EYE-OPENING. It makes a lot of Yumeko's lines and actions incredibly unexpected and funny, which only adds to the experience.

At the same time, I find Suzui to be incredibly attractive. And this series is the sole reason I understand those girls who want a boy who whimpers and who's incredibly pathetic for their love interest - Suzui Ryota is that man for Yumeko, and I can confidently say I get it.
