So far this has been my favorite of the Age of X-Man issues. It’s so complex, and it’s not at all predictable. I love that. I had fun trying to figure out what the catch was in this issue. Plus it was interesting seeing who was and wasn’t aware of the situation.
The real bonus was adding some emotional complexity. These characters felt more real – more concerned about their world, than some of the other plots so far have been. I really did find myself concerned at a couple of points here – even though I honestly don’t think anything that happens here will be permanent. So I feel like that’s saying something.
