This autobiographical graphic novel, that I borrowed from the library, is one of the best graphic novels I have read in a long time. It's an honest account of the author's life, with plenty of raw emotion, from birth to present day. It's a story with many lows and highs, showing the effect that addiction can have on a family, but also showing that there is always hope and that, with determination, dreams can come true. The artwork, with its limited colour palette, really adds to the story and worked in a way that full colour wouldn't. Having read this one, I now need to look for more of Krosoczka's work.
