In this book the character May Wexler is your typical struggling photographer, living paycheck to paycheck, working hard, paying bills and making time for her older sister Jennifer and her three adorable pain in the butt kids. Their relationship as sisters makes this story comical and sets up the story as they will always be there for each other even when it doesn’t make sense; such as May receiving a text message from an unknown number and thinking it’s her sister asking her to meet at a biker bar called Frankies. I don’t understand why May would think her sister would ask her to meet her and the kids at a place like that but as she arrives looking for her sister and she immediately feels out of place and very confused when she can’t find them anywhere. Shots are fired and May is whisked away by a big bearded man who scares her but at the same time makes her feel safe. She follows this guy to his place of business and he disappears only to reappear as a clean shaven hunk of a man named Ozzie. Ozzie is not thrilled that May is there because she jeopardized his undercover sting yet can’t get away from the attraction he has with her and wants to keep her safe.
Its obvious there is chemistry between the two and it’s a quick fun read. I wish we could of learned more about Ozzie and what makes him who he is but overall it was a good book and a fast read; which is making me look forward to Book 2 of this series.
