Slayer by Kiersten White

Slayer (Slayer, #1)

by Kiersten White

Into every generation a Slayer is born…

Nina and her twin sister, Artemis, are far from normal. It’s hard to be when you grow up at the Watcher’s Academy, which is a bit different from your average boarding school. Here teens are trained as guides for Slayers—girls gifted with supernatural strength to fight the forces of darkness. But while Nina’s mother is a prominent member of the Watcher’s Council, Nina has never embraced the violent Watcher lifestyle. Instead she follows her instincts to heal, carving out a place for herself as the school medic.

Until the day Nina’s life changes forever.

Thanks...

When I heard there would be a new Slayer book I was SO EXCITED !! I'm a huge Buffy fan and the idea that the story would continue was just mind blowing. I watched and watched so many Buffy episodes, and Angel ofc, this was my childhood, I grew up with her ! I was fangirling big time. Not only that, but written by Kiersten White !? Awesome combination ! Though I did have some doubts.. I did not want to be disappointed.

But it was a really awesome book !! Great to get back into the Buffyverse, with all the references to the original series, but with some new characters.. Great !! I started and finished it the same day. Very entertaining.
Okay so, the plot was kind of easy to guess, but the whole story together just worked. I want more !!! And now I'm really in the mood to watch Buffy again XD
