Lauren and Shaun had met and fell in love at the Christmas Inn but after her mother died of cancer right around her high school graduation, Lauren walked away from Shaun and followed her dream so she could follow her mother’s final advice “follow your dreams” and have “no regrets”.
Shaun finally has full custody of his four young children. Determined to give them the best Christmas ever, he brings them back to the Christmas Inn, the place filled with such happy memories from his youth.
This sweet story of second chances is everything you want in a Christmas story. Endearing characters, precocious children, and a hopeful future. I loved Shaun and his deep love for his children. One of the most touching things in the story was the reason Shaun wouldn’t let his ten-year-old daughter cut her hair.
Though the Christmas theme is in the story – it would be hard to not have it with the Christmas Inn as the setting – this story can certainly be enjoyed year round.
