Jade Dennis hears a voice in her head on the first day of her new part time job.  She wonders if she is going crazy, something her ex accused her of.  Jade comes across as a strong and independent woman who struggles with her growing feelings as she enters a dom/sub relationship with the man behind the voice.

Ryker Jones is a mysterious figure but he comes across as a Dom. He is the voice in Jade’s mind.  Its not really explained why they could talk mind to mind other than they are sole mates.  I really wish we got to know him better than we did.

The connection between Jade and Ryker is intense.  It starts the second they meet.  I like that Ryker lets Jade be who she is and does not try to change her.  The sex scenes were scorching.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were enthralling.  At 70 pages, this book had a well-defined beginning, middle and ending.  While the ending was predictable, it was expected with the length of the story.  Overall, this was a very captivating book and I hope to see these characters again in the future. This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books.
