Until I Knew Myself is a story of brokenness, of searching for family, for identity, for belonging. Full of conflict, and yet full of hope, this story is so touchingly crafted. It tugs at the heartstrings and makes them play a familiar, comfortable tune, full of longing.

Tyler, in his hurt, cut himself off from those he loved the most, hoping to find a link to the relatives he never knew.

Author Tammy L. Gray very beautifully tears apart the lives of Tyler and Journey and their friends and then sets about very carefully and lovingly piecing them back together.

Though the story had a great resolution, this is the first book of an intertwined series of books that leaves some of the conflicts for some of the characters unresolved. I can see the potential for at least two more books. I’m looking forward to seeing if my prediction about Tyler’s family comes true in a future book.

I would like to thank Tammy L. Gray for giving me this item. My opinion and review were not influenced by this gift.
