The best I can say about this book is that it was written. I realise that romance novels are not meant to be cerebral works of literature, but I at least expect some believable dialogue, a believable courtship and a steamy sex scene. Unfortunately all I got was a pedestrian formula, a sex scene that left me feeling spectacularly underwhelmed, and a relationship that made me pretty glad I live in a real world, with a real man and a real relationship. As far as escapism goes it totally missed the mark. Still, at least that's my annual trashy Christmas read out of the way for this year.
