------------------------------------

The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be.

One day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by many devotees simply as the Chairman. Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of successful 'go-givers' who teach him how to open himself up to the power of giving.

Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving - putting others' interests first and continually adding value to their lives - ultimately leads to unexpected results.

------------------------------------

The Go-Giver is a classic bestseller that brings to life the old proverb 'Give and you shall receive'.

The Go-Giver is a fantastic book! It's a short business parable; very insightful, very easy and entertaining read. It's all about switching from a "go-getter" attitude to a "go-giver" attitude and why in business the latter is so much more beneficial. I completely agreed with the philosophy the book espouses and enjoyed the way it was revealed. It's also very simple - the philosophy of the book comes down to 6 straight forward and simple "laws of success".

I would recommend this book not only to those who are or would like to be in business for themselves, but also to anyone who wants to have a greater impact in their current jobs or get more from their current work. seriously, good book.
