I was a little unsure at first as it's shelved as horror and I don't like horror. But this was fantastic. I loved all the references to Wonderland and Lewis Carroll and I learnt lots about them both.
Alice is at the start of an interesting journey, one where she discovers what being insane really means and whether being insane is preferable over not. While the asylum is a horrendous place, it contrasts sharply against the reality of the world that faces Alice outside.
And I loved the inclusion of Tiger Lily :)
