Kian and Savvy started off hot, but they went from sizzling chemistry to deep feelings being shared under some pretty heavy emotional turmoil. I get that sometimes feelings present themselves at the worst time, but it felt like with everything else that was going on in Kian's life blurting it out when he did felt like a cop out.
Then there was Garrett. A couple of things happened with him that were pretty integral to the story, but I felt like his relationship with Savvy was brushed under the rug. It weighed on both Kian and Savvy for most of the book so I would have expected more when this finally was addressed (not a quick side conversation).
Finally, I wasn't a fan of the ending. Not because there wasn't a HEA, but more because it felt like it was just dumped on me. A big "there...they're happy now." It didn't feel like anything had been resolved in the story and left me wondering what happens next. I'm guessing there's another book, but I'm not sure if that's a continuation of Kian and Savvy's story or if it's Garrett's. Regardless, I still felt as if I got to this point and left hanging.
