As much as I wanted to love this book, I have to say I'm disappointed. I had high expectations after reading book one, but this book had flaws. Too many of them.

First off all, the writing style seemed off. Too many repetitive words, and it was hard to tell who was talking when.

We follow Becca and Jason whem they're 16, and boy that took up a lot of this book! 48% to be exact. That wad way too much! It felt like any other YA contemporary book - nothing wrong with that, but this is NA so I was simply not expecting that.

Furthermore it felt forced how their parents treated them comæletely opposite. Like, was that really necessary?

Then there's the ending. It was rushed. I don't get why we had to read about them falling in love through so many pages and then the conflict, twist and ending was cramped in at a few pages. That, too me, should've taken up the most space in this book.

And then there's the end...
Naming their kid Benjamin Kyle... Come on! Too much! And then there's Nell and Colt and their kid Kylie. Stop! Just stop!

So why give this book three stars then? Well the thing is, I connected with the characters. I felt their pain, I felt them hurting. It made me feel things. I didn't want to, but I couldn't help myself. And despite the flaws, I still enjoyed the book, especially the last half of it. And I love the characters, and definitely want to continue this series. That's worth a three star rating. I can't wait to see who will be the main characters of book three.
