A couple of years ago, almost two to be exact, I started this blog.  I was already a HUGE Pamela Clare fan and she was publishing Striking Distance (I-Team #7) that Fall.  I REALLY wanted to read and review that book.  Being that I was a teeny tiny brand new blog, I wasn't quite up to snuff where publishers were concerned.  Ms. Clare sent me a galley copy of Striking Distance for me to review.  God bless her.  That book is highlighted and bookmarked with Post-It note flags.  Even better, I read it during a trip for my 40th birthday.  I loved that book and I always will.

What does all that have to do with Soul Deep? Well, after an absence due to a very valiant battle with Cancer, Ms. Clare is BACK!!! Soul Deep is our first taste of the writing that we love so much from Ms. Clare.  Plus, this book is a nice change of pace due to the age of the characters.  Jack is 63 and Janet is 45.  I'll admit that I do tire of reading about 20somethings all the time and it's nice to read a book where the MCs are older and still sexy as hell.  And granted, even I had to adjust to a much older MC but it was pretty easy for me to imagine a man like him.   Jack and Janet have made appearances in previous books and have an interesting history with each other.

Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it whet my appetite for Ms. Clare's NEW book in the I-Team series, SEDUCTION GAME.  Holly is finally getting her book!!! HALLELUJAH!!!  (Available 10/20)
