I especially enjoy the Hardman Holidays series by Shanna Hatfield. It could be the time period, or the characters, or the fact that they have a little more adventure in them...
The Christmas Ring is a great addition to this series. Victoria has an uncanny ability to notice and remember details which became clear when she was able to give such great descriptions of the outlaws who robbed the stagecoach she was on. This came in handy when she determined to solve the mystery of Trace.
This is a fun story with so many wonderful moments. There was ice skating and a taffy pull. There were outlaws and mystery. I even love the pun of the name!
Even though Christmas has passed, this is a story that is lovely all year round.
