'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' was one of my favourite books when I was still a young teen girl. Since that is also the target audience, it was definitely a more appealing read for me back then than it is today. In fact, I picked it up again in a quest to reread all four book before delving into 'Sisterhood Everlasting', so it really is a refresher for me.

Either way, I still think that it is a good book that speaks about friendship between girls who are very different yet have great love for each other, even when they are apart. In fact, it is through their summer apart that they discover more about themselves while gaining strength and encouragement from this special bond they share. This also means that for most readers, at least one of the four girls is bound to be engaging and so would make this book worth reading.
