Emmett is the down to earth popular hometown football star. Katherine is the new girl in town who has just moved in with her aunt. Kate does not like getting close to anyone because everything in her life is always temporary. Emmett is determined to show Kate that she can have fun, let people in and take care of her sister all at the same time.
A wholesome and refreshing read which is so full of heart. Emmett is so sweet and good that you can not help but fall in love with him. Kate had her struggles but she was just as loveable. It was great to go back in time and see where these two got their start. This was a little too slow of a slow-burn for my liking but I understand as it is a high school romance. There are a fair amount of likeable side characters who I hope to see get their own stories in the future.
