Oh my, this was intense.
I absolutely loved The Mortal Coil. So much is going on in this novel, I had no idea where we would end up. Twists and turns galore and not a single boring page to be found.
It's really difficult to discuss this one without any major spoilers for the plot, so I'll keep it short. Valkyrie is badass as usual but she gets more nuance here I feel. Emotions become more intricate and I'm here for it.
She's with Fletcher now and initially, I was annoyed that there'd be a love story but honestly, I ended up not minding it.
We get many amazing moments but I was probably most intrigued by Dr. Nye. I won't say any more on that subject but if you read the book you'll know what I mean. This would be so cool on screen, either movie or show.
As for the end, I had NOT seen that coming. Wow. That was intense and hit me right in the gut. Amazing. I can't wait to read the next novel.
