Sean + Lucy = Spectacular.
The Player and the Pixie had all those elements, which keep me coming back for more. We had these two flawed characters, who each had a little hollow space in their hearts that needed to be filled. They were recklessly attempting to fill the holes, until they realized what they needed was each other.
As is the case anytime I read a Penny Reid book, I found myself often giggling or full on laughing. The witty banter and amusing inner monologues never failed to put a smile on my face, but I have to say, the whole the whole My Fair Lady - sex edition thing gave me the biggest laugh. It was an interesting angle, and aside from providing some humor and lots of steamy scenes, it showed Sean as very vulnerable, which increased his likability.
Overall: Another fun, sexy, and fantastic Rugby book. I am such a fan of this writing team and this series, and I hope they will write lots and lots of Rugby books.
