Waiting in the Wings was so freaking cute! Erin works for a theater company in Manila, but she's taking a break from the stage in order to be an active participant in her own life. She's never been kissed off stage! That's when two eligible bachelors walk into her life and her theater. The first is her college friend, Ramon, who is the new choreographer. The second is a famous actor named Pio who is auditioning for their upcoming musical. Ramon is so happy to see Erin again, but he missed his chance when Pio asks her out first. Or did he?

I couldn't help but smile all throughout Waiting in the Wings. Yes, it's a love triangle romance, but not really. Erin wants a romance of her own, so of course she says yes when Pio asks her on a date. Why wouldn't she? He's handsome, charming, and famous! However, she finds herself thinking about Ramon on their dates. Little does she know, but Ramon has been in love with her since college but never made a move. And he's not about to ruin her chance with Pio, because he just wants her to be happy whether that's with him or not. He's content to just be her friend. Of course this means that the main "drama" is a case of miscommunication, since neither of them are saying exactly how they feel, but I believed it.

Waiting in the Wings is very short, so things happen fairly quickly. Erin and Ramon are reunited, she starts seeing another guy only to realize her feelings for Ramon, there's some misunderstandings along the way, but everything comes together in a sickeningly sweet ending. There is singing! Characters break into song and are adorable! That ending was just so cheesey and adorable and left me with a goofy grin.
