I was pleasantly surprised by the first book in the series, having thought that it was just another 'Angel' (I suspect that some may not know what species the characters are, just going by the book description) novel. I enjoyed it, but the declarations of love wore thin, sadly.

I do enjoy a brooding drink of tall, dark and handsome though and Reed sounds delicious.
