I wasn't a fan. While the characters seemed to be everything I wanted; a badass tough guy protecting a softer man who makes the bodyguard all gooey, it was confusing as hell. I didn't follow the story well, and while I did buy the rest of the series before reading this one (I love sales) it will be a while before I return to this world. I found that the romance between the two fluctuated a bit too much for me, perhaps the next book will be better now that they have a foundation.
