This is a children's book with a great lesson that i think everyone struggles with at some point and sometimes many times in their stages of life. The realization that what you thought you wanted may not be what you been pursuing. Case in point we have a young boy in a family of pirates who at a school that trains pirates. He has no real love for being a pirate or learning how to be one. It what he family wants for him so for a while he grumbles and is quite irate at having to learn to be one.
Finally Petie realizes that looking over the pros and cons that it maybe better to pursue his actual dream rather then being miserable as a pirate. An enjoyable quick read with great illustrations that young and old will enjoy.
