Cute royal romance. I enjoyed both characters, but felt the story was rushed just a little bit in order to get Kristos and Emmaline to their HEA. I think to truly believe the whirlwind romance, we needed to be with Kristos and Em a little bit more. We had the sense he was torn between his duty and her, but I needed more clandestine meetings in the palace outside of the ball, for the two of them to truly lay everything out there as far as their wants and dreams.
It was still a cute story and set up the rest of the series, as I'm sure the extra week the 4 women will be spending in Garronia will lead to more whirlwind romances for Kristos and Em's friends.
