Who said romance is dead?

This book has me fighting sleep. I can't put it down and I'm desperate for to start book 2!

This is an amazing tale, beautiful and harrowing. Disgusting in many places but it's written so well and flowing it all fits together nicely.

I cried for many pages, Ada's pleas to Enosh to please let the children have the rot really got to me. So they could find peace in a world where the god of death and life has abandoned them.

Enosh has more layers than an onion, hurt by mortals long ago and betrayed by the woman he loved. He left the world of mortals until now... And again humanity shows its darkness.

I can't wait to read the conclusion to their saga. We are promised a hea... But I think we will have to work for it!

This is one of those ones I would have DNF'ed were it not for me being DETERMINED to finish out our F.MC's story. I can deal with a lot in dark fantasy, villain romances and/or dark-er romances, but this really cemented for me that I am not a properly dark romance reader.

Enosh. Freakin' Enosh. As the M.MC is a God, he is exactly as he should be. He's cruel, he is obsessive, he thinks he knows best no matter what. He detests when his brothers put obstacles in his path and he has MAJOR trust issues. He is in no way a hero, in NO WAY. He's a God and acts like it. Zander gets the capricious, out-of-touch nature of Gods spot on. There are no holds barred, and no punches pulled with the Gods of The Pale Court duet.

He does things to Ada that are just red flag after red flag - but they all fit with his character. I hated it for her. I wanted nothing more than for Ada to gtfo and be happy AWAY from Enosh. It's what drove me through the book and got me to the second one, through the second one, frankly.
