This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Rachel for letting me be part of this tour and to Victoria and Hera for my copy of this book. I adore Glendale Hall and I was very excited to be back here.
The main character in this book is Anna. Anna is Brodie’s younger sister, for those who have read the previous books you will already be aware of Brodie. This is the 4th book in the series but could be read as a standalone.
Anna hasn’t stayed in one place for very long since she was 18. She never lets anyone get too close. She is a bit lost and is full of misplaced guilt. She has been alone for so long she doesn’t know how to let people help. I just wanted to tell her it’s okay to take help now and then.
Cameron has been in previous books. He’s the strong silent type. Like Anna he has some misplaced guilt too. It was very sweet to see these two connect over this and overcome their issues together.
I really loved all the side characters in this book. It was so lovely to catch up with Beth and the gang. I was so happy to see Heather and Rory get married, they have both been through so much to get to their wedding day. It weas nice to meet new people from the village too.
I really enjoyed seeing more of Brodie and his family. It was very interesting to see what led him to be a minister and how it shaped his life.
I enjoyed my trip back to Glendale. It was a lovely escape to the highlands.
