Finding the only true anchor in the storms of life
I can’t imagine living in a place that has to deal with flooding during hurricanes like this area of Texas does. Author Kristen Etheridge did a great job of helping me picture what it would be like. Shudder! With water covering the first story of buildings and all kinds of things in said water. I’m glad we only have to worry about potential wind damage here where I live!
Both Becca and Ross were passionate about caring for animals. Though they felt like they were always at odds with one another, it was due to their zeal. I felt like the author brought their relationship believably from animosity to attraction as they worked together to help the pets who had been abandoned.
Becca had a terrible childhood that had left her feeling rejected by God. As she saw Ross’ faith and the faith of one of the women of the community, she began to desire what they had. Without being preachy, the author showed the journey toward salvation that Becca took.
