This is a cute story of boy meets girl, girl needs to get married to stay in the country, boy agrees and then confesses at the altar he can’t help his best friend out after all. What’s a girl to do?
Tegan is supposed to marry Chet, but Chet can’t go through with it because of his very own personal secrets. Tegan is running out of options before her visa runs out. She has accepted the fact that she will be going home to Australian when Jamie, Chet’s best friend and Tegan’s nemesis, drunkenly announces he will marry her. Jamie and Tegan are like oil and water, how can these two possibly get married without killing each other first?
I thought the story was pretty cute. I liked how Tegan and Jamie’s animosity towards each other was secretly growing into love under the guise of insults and constant ribbing. The characters were likeable and the saucy heroine was paired nicely with a strong yet awkward cowboy who balanced Tegan’s personality perfectly. A quick, light-hearted read.
