I love Hollywood romances stories, especially when an everyday girl ends up bringing Hollywood's "It" boy to his knees. LUCKY STAR gives us a romance between up and coming Hollywood star and his best friend. It's not an entirely unlikely story with this couple, but it gives us a bird's eye view of what Hollywood relationship could be like.
I liked Cameron and Sarah. I liked how both of them were afraid to address their mutual feelings for each other because of their friendship status. They have a rough start to their relationship, but after Cameron mans up and talks with Sarah, their relationship status goes from zero to one hundred immediately. Which throws a huge wrench in the coveted movie role Cameron's just landed.
Cameron and Sarah have to learn how to navigate a Hollywood they were both familiar with, now as a couple. They discover who their true friends are and uncover that living outside Hollywood is best the way to build their life and get away from the pettiness of LA.
LUCKY STAR is a cute read and a good way to spend a couple of hours.
