What a heartbreaking set up! The hero became a single dad to special needs child after losing his wife in a car accident. Enter Brooklyn, a grad student, who has experience with special needs children, and is like a god send for Garrett. Soon enough, Garrett and Brooklyn give in to their attraction, but Garrett still has a lot of healing to do before he can fully open his heart.
I though Garrett and Brooklyn had great chemistry, and I liked them as a couple. It was easy to see a future for those two. And can we talk about that precious baby? Every scene with Caleb was pretty adorable. I enjoyed hearing about his progress, and he was just the sweetest kid. Both of Brooklyn's roommates were interesting characters. I especially liked Kyler, and am keen to learn more about him. There were quite a few surprised tossed into the story, and Hill doled them out in a piecemeal fashion, which made it even more interesting. I am more of a low-drama person, and there were points, where I felt like there was more drama than necessary. However, overall, I enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to reading more Change of Hearts stories
