Wow, that was even better than I thought it would be. I had heaps of friends talking this book up that I had to check it out. Insatiable was less than a dollar, getting great reviews and written by a bloke...definitely caught my interest.
We are introduced to the very popular Jax who is gorgeous, rich and successful. Things are very good in his world. With a successful career in Architecture, a long line of women who want a chance to be with him and a mate who's his wingman as well as his surfing buddy, he's one happy man. One night while he's out on the prowl checking out the scene for his next hook up, he sees a woman who stops him in his tracks. Lizzie is out with friends and is approached by Jax. She has a boyfriend and turns him down.
Lizzie has been with same boyfriend for 8 years. After meeting the very hot and sexy Jax she realises she's unsatisfied with Brody and breaks up with him. Jax and Lizzie run into each other again. After a very, very hot encounter Lizzie asks Jax to teach her how to be sexy but also happy with her sexuality. Jax agrees.
There were some great scenes in and out of the bedroom. Mr Hawkins has made this a hell of an appealing story. For one he's given us the ultimate sex God in Jax. Secondly, he's made Lizzie happy in her skin and thirdly he defends her to her douche ex-boyfriend.
This is not a standalone, but the second one is already out and I doubt anyone who's read this first installment could stop themselves from finding out what happens next.
J.D. Hawkins has blown another of my narrow minded opinions out of the water. A bloke can write sexy romance. I'm definitely a fan.
