Beth Kery is one of my favorite erotic/contemporary romance authors. She just knows how to put the passion and intimacy in her stories. And while they’re steamy, she manages to capture the emotional ride her characters take in each and every book.
In The Affair (Weeks 1-8), she introduces us to Emma and Michael. Both characters are complex in their own way, Emma being a little more on the inexperienced side of complexities and Michael being an incredibly flawed and scarred soul. But their opposites are what make them work so well, and what makes their story so beautifully erotic.
I loved experiencing their story. Reading about their exploration of one another was a treat, and left me feeling romantically and erotically content. Which, in my opinion, means the author did exactly what she was supposed to do.
The Affair was a very enjoyable book with so much to offer readers. Emma and Michael are wonderfully written characters, and I’m looking forward to reading more from Ms. Kery in the future.
