This review contains spoilers for Kings Rising (Book 3)

This made me sympathise more with:

a) Jord's demotion as captain (even though I'd die before I even breathed wrong about Damianos)

b) Aimeric's death because he loved and was loved - hr wasn't just some soulless antagonist

The rest of the short stories just might ruin me wholly.

Also, let's take a moment to gawk at the minimalist cover. Stunning simplicity.
